Part 1 Color Combination Series
This past weekend, there was the most interesting article in our local newspaper. Stephen Thompson, local interior designer, had written a piece on color combinations for decorating the home. A "cheat sheet" for blending and contrasting colors.
Immediately I knew that this "cheat sheet" would be beneficial to our customers as they pick out mesh, ribbons, signs and florals for wreath and arrangement creations.
Stephen gave an example of percentages to use with the dominate color being 60%, a second color 30% and an additional color of 10%.
An example would be walls 60%; major fabrics (furniture or bedding) 30%; and accessories 10%
Translate this to wreath supplies: mesh 60%, ribbons 30% and a sign or other embellishment 10%. Just a thought))
He gave so many example of color combinations, I'm going to break it down into a series of post and give you the colors and see if I can find some products that correlate.
Here are a few products from this color combination. Just food for thought))
Stay tuned for more in this series of color combinations. What colors do you like to put with grey? We would love to hear from you!

Thanks again to Stephen Thompson for sharing this information. And if you're local and need a little bit of help decorating your home.....call Stephen. He designed the shutters for our home and they are simply fantastic!
He most recently helped us with some rollup shades for our screened in back porch/outdoor kitchen to make it more comfortable in cool and windy weather. Our back porch is now more comfortable all year round. The shades block the wind on football days and we can sit by the fire and watch the game)))
More color combinations coming up!
