Gentle Cardinal Ornament Old World Christmas 18140
Retired Design—Your Last Chance to Collect!
Old World Christmas has retired this ornament, and no more will be produced. Add it to your collection or tuck it away for a special gift while it’s still available. Once our remaining stock is gone, it’s gone for good!
Many people believe a cardinal is a sign that a loved one is near, which makes this gentle cardinal a meaningful memorial gift. It's also a classic choice for any traditional Christmas tree.
Birds are symbols of happiness and joy, so they are regarded as a necessity on the Christmas tree. Glassblowers often kept wild birds during the winter months since the sound of the gas flame in the workshop prompted the birds to sing. Then when spring arrived, the birds returned to freedom.
This traditional and beautiful glass ornament was carefully mouth-blown into a finely crafted mold. Then a hot solution of liquid silver was poured inside. Finally, it was delicately hand-painted and glittered for you to enjoy and cherish as a holiday heirloom!
