Hang Tag: Halloween has its origins in the ancient festival of Samhain, the Celtic New Year, when spirits were allowed to return to the earth to visit. Christianity incorporated this into All Hallow's Eve, October 31, prior to All Saints Day. The Irish brought Halloween to America in the 1840's, with the tradition of dressing costumes and playing pranks in the hope of keeping evil spirits away.
This traditional and beautiful glass ornament was carefully mouth-blown into a finely crafted mold. Then a hot solution of liquid silver was poured inside. Finally, it was delicately hand-painted and glittered for you to enjoy and cherish as a holiday heirloom!
