What does Sunday morning brunch have to do with Trendy Tree? Good question! Nothing really))) But the Trendy Tree family is headed down to Florida for a little well deserved R & R. What better way to send them off than with a little nutritious .....well maybe not that nutritious! But a filling breakfast)))
This was not a planned brunch, so there were no fancy recipes. No goodies fit for a Pinterest page))) Just a few things that the grandkids like.
When I woke up Sunday morning it crossed my mind....we wanted to see the family before they left, so why not make them something to eat. To either take and eat on the way, or eat at the table. They opted to eat at the table and took the remainders away in zip lock bags and to go cups.
The Menu:
Sausage Egg Cheese Biscuits
Bacon Biscuits
Sausage Biscuts
(You have to have a variety....one doesn't like bacon, one likes only sausage....etc. You have grands like these?)
Fresh Fruit - always a good choice for everyone
Yogurt Parfait - You can take two servings of any flavor of Greek yogurt add some fruit and turn it into four servings. Grape Nuts for a little crunchiness.
Cheesecake Blueberry Muffins - Made from a package mix but with the addition of cream instead of milk and fresh blueberries to perk it up a bit. Baked in the bite size muffin pan.
Cinnamon Donut Holes - The quick and easy method. Four frozen biscuits, just slightly thawed and cut into four pieces. Fried in hot oil then rolled in a combination of brown sugar, sugar and cinnamon. Actually cheap canned biscuits work better, but frozen was what I had so that it was.
Smoothies - Made with any combination of fruits\ available and a container of Greek yogurt, vanilla I think. A Ninja is great for smoothies!
These smoothies were made of bananas, frozen pineapple chunks, yogurt, can of Mandarin oranges, can of peaches in their own juice. All the juice from the cans were used. Oh, also a box of peach sugar free jello.
Gosh....it's so quiet since they left. I like this)))
