Mardi Gras Queen!

This Mardi Gras Queen was created by one of the designers at one of our suppliers. This whimsical creation started with a metal dress frame. Colors of the Mardi Gras - Green, Purple and Gold were used. Green Deco Poly Metallic Mesh filled the bodice of the frame. The "neck" was made from a cardboard core of a deco poly mesh roll and covered with a Mardi Gras striped ribbon. The cardboard core was stuffed down in the back of the frame and a large gold crown was hot glued to the cardboard. Smaller crowns were used at the shoulders to give a "poof" look. Glittered gold grasses were used for the arms and brought in at the waist. A feathered Mardi Gras mask was secured to the crown and gold drop Christmas ornaments served as earrings. A Fleu de Lis necklace hangs around the neck. Purple Deco Poly Mesh was used for the skirt and accented with gold ribbon and green Glitter Strip Garland. Small bow tied around the waist.
