Morning! Our little dog Gypsy got me up and out of bed early this morning. She's a Jack Russell and recovering from a broken leg. The leg is in a cast so it has to be covered in plastic every time she goes outside.....have you tried keeping a cast covered? If you have any tricks I would sure like to hear them)))
Yesterday went pretty good as far as the new resolutions))) I did some work on the website. If you look at the "Coming Soon" category you will see that we have added more spring ribbons. Most of these ribbons will be arriving this week along with more of the new fabric mesh rolls. Here's a link: Coming Soon
Spring colors in the new fabric mesh roll will be perfect to get you started on your spring and summer wreaths.
This mesh was first available for this last Christmas season and we used the black and white for a Christmas wreath . I love this mesh! It is a combination product of 51% Polyester; 35% Jute; 14% Polypropylene. As you can see the Polypropylene makes up the smallest percentage. It's just enough plastic to give it some strength and the Polyester and Jute give it a real fabric feel. It's thicker, the weave is rather open, but I believe it ravels less than plain Polypropylene. We have some colors in stock now, and more arriving. We have 21" and 10" widths and it all on 10 yard rolls. Lots of plaid colors for spring and some of the Christmas styles have metallic foil. I think you'll like working with it and we would love to hear from you if you have.
Spring RAZ should start coming in around the middle of January. Our RAZ order contains lots of bunny items this year))) There are new bunny butts, signs, Easter eggs picks and floral print bunny hats.
Florals were really dominant in the RAZ collection this year. Pastels and florals.
We also have a few other new suppliers and those items will be coming in soon too. When we went to market in July (this is when we shop for spring/summer items) it seemed very difficult to find Patriotic items.
Finding nice Patriotic and Halloween is getting more and more difficult! Seems suppliers are really limiting their offering for these lines which is sad because Halloween is one of our best selling products. But with the addition of these new suppliers we were able to find some great items)))
Much of the Patriotic product available, including ribbons, was of a primitive or rustic nature. And for those who find bow making difficult (like me), we found this great bow that is very stiff and would make a great decoration just hanging by itself or on a wreath.
What's on my agenda today for Trendy Tree? Well, did you you know that we also sell on Amazon and Walmart? Yep.....you'll find some of our glass ornaments from Trendy Ornaments on the Walmart Marketplace and on Amazon. Not all of them, but hundreds))) We also have a few other items there and we're exploring the idea of adding more items. So if your comfort level is shopping on Amazon or Walmart be on the lookout for Trendy Tree! We'll be adding more mesh, ribbons, work wreaths etc.
More Trendy Tree news - huge shipment from Craig Bachman coming in this week. This will re-stock so many of our items that we are low or out of right now - work wreaths, tree forms, heart forms, horse head, paper mesh, poly burlap, Deco poly mesh, flex tubing, flex ribbon, burlap garland, elephant kit, Easter and Valentine sprays, monogram and curly letters. Once the shipment arrives, it takes a day or so to check, sort and stock the items and then inventories will be updated.
On a personal note....yesterday I drank FOUR bottles of water))) That's very good for me, I plan to continue today and am already on my first bottle)) I didn't go to the gym....but wait...did walk on the Tanglefoot Trail. David's mom, Martha, and I went for a walk. It looked like the clouds had mostly passed and the sun was shinning. So instead of walking inside at the First Baptist Church gym, we took to the trail. Well, big mistake. Just about the time we had reached our turning point and was headed back, it started sprinkling. Before we go back to our vehicles, there was a down pour and we were drenched. Thank goodness it wasn't cold. The temperature was almost 70, but we were soaked to the bone. Course a little water never hurt anyone I guess, but it put a damper on my plan to go grocery shopping! I looked like a drowned rat. I do not have the kind of hair that looks cute when wet....I have the hair that looks like a German helmet.....but I was bound and determined to use my new pressure cooker and I needed chicken. So I just slapped my sunglasses on top of my head and prissed into the Piggly Wiggly and picked up chicken and veggies. No one said a word, just smiled and nodded with that look on their face like....really?
The chicken cooked up great and I didn't burn myself with steam this time. Did some stir fry veggies and was quite proud of myself. Good Lord though, I've go enough chicken to make three more dinners or so. I'm not the greatest at using leftovers, so I put most of the chicken in the freezer. Would love to hear your favorite recipes for leftover chicken)))
Well time to move away from the computer and get started on today's list. See you later!
