A beautiful image does so much to help sell a creation. Staging your creation in the best possible manner will make all the difference in the world. See how Kristin Massengill with
Grapevine and Blooms has found the perfect spot and table to photograph her creations.
It's helpful to the buyer, especially when viewing flat image on a screen, to see the creation in an area similar to where it will be used.
For example, a door wreath photographed on an exterior door. This helps the customer to better understand the size of the wreath and how it might look on their own door. Even though the dimensions may be listed, seeing the wreath on a door help to visualize the size. Same goes for a floral arrangement sitting on a table along with some other decorative pieces.
The light colored brick wall behind the table is a perfect backdrop. The colors in her floral arrangement just pop against the white wall.
The table has corrugated tin trim and natural color wood. The farmhouse table came from
Hobby Lobby.
In the image above Kristin has placed a pretty ceramic bunny next to the flowers. Perfect promotion for a creation that would work for Easter or all spring and summer.
She has two photos of her tulip centerpiece. One has an Easter theme with the bunny and one without. That way, images can easily be swapped out in her Etsy shop as needed.
Staging a creation with other items in your home, gives the potential buyer ideas also. We all need help with decorating ideas!
It the above photo, the table is still used to hang a wreath above it. The key to getting images like this is to use natural light, no flash.
Thanks to Kristin, for sharing her images. You can see more beautiful floral and wreath creations that are for sale in her Etsy shop,

The
Farmhouse Wood Console table from Hobby Lobby regularly sells for $141.99 but is on sale right now for $99.39. It is about 36" in width and 31" in ht. It's not available at our local Hobby Lobby but it can be purchased online and looks like it would be easily assembled. It's made out of MDF and has galvanized metal trim for a rustic look.
