Step-by-Step Guide

1. Cutting the Mesh

  1. Cut the mesh into 20″ lengths. You will need 18 pieces of each color, totaling 36 pieces.
  2. Use a rotary cutter to make the cutting easier.
  3. If your last piece is a bit short, don’t worry; it won't be noticeable.

2. Preparing the Wreath Form

  • The kit includes a 24″ pencil wreath form with 18 twists.

3. Creating Ruffles or Curls

  1. Ruffles: Roll the cut edges of the mesh under slightly, then scrunch up the center to form a ruffle.
  2. Curls: Simply roll up the mesh strips and pinch the center.
  3. Choose either method.
  4. Place two ruffles or curls in each twist and secure with a couple of turns. You can arrange the colors in a consistent pattern or alternate them as you go.
  5. Secure both ruffles or curls simultaneously to speed up the process.

4. Adding Ribbon Strips (Optional)

  1. Cut ribbon strips to 12"-13″ each.
  2. Create clusters with each of the four ribbon styles.
  3. Open up the twists, lay the ribbon cluster down, and secure with a few turns.

5. Attaching the Sign

  1. Use the Thrill of Hope metal sign or a sign of your choice.
  2. Punch a hole in the sides of the metal sign to attach a chenille stem, or use an adhesive cable mount on the back of the sign.
  3. Secure the sign to the wreath form, ensuring not to pull it too tightly to avoid flattening the mesh and ribbons.
  4. Position the sign as you prefer.

6. Making the Wreath Bow

  1. Use the remaining ribbon to create a wreath bow.
  2. You can make a free-hand bow or use an EZ Bowmaker.
  3. Attach the bow with chenille stems.
  4. The placement of the bow will depend on where you positioned your sign.
