Shelly is a great designer and she has been so gracious to share her tutorials with us. Today we're sharing her Watercolor Bunny Wreath and Chocolate Bunny Wreath. The products are from Trendy Tree and even though some of them may be sold out now, you can still follow Shelly's process and create a masterpiece for Easter yourself)))

Shelly made her wreath using the basic supplies from her Trendy Tree wreath kit, but then she added her special touch with some florals from her own stash. This is one way she has demonstrated that a wreath kit is just fine by itself, but you can always take it up a notch if you like))
The 23" Gerber Daisy pick is available in four colors: cream, pink, yellow, and green.
We have several similar ranunculus sprays in several colors also. We do have Easter egg picks, but none as dainty as the ones she used.
I love how she made the two floral bundles for the watercolor bunny wreath and inserted on either side of the bow. Plus, by not using hot glue on the florals, she could remove them later and use in another project. Of course, assuming you would be making this for yourself)))
One of my favorite things is to make a project and disassemble later and create something entirely new out of old products, or just adding a few new things.

Taalor made this pretty He Is Risen sign in the shop the other day so we selected some ribbons and mesh to put together an Easter wreath.
The supplies do come in a kit.....while the supplies last! Here are links to the kit and individual product in case you want to change something up.
Trendy Tree "He Is Risen" Deco Mesh Kit
TT-085 - 10" He Is Risen Metal Sign
RX9143WW - 2.5" Lime/White Polka Dot Ribbon
RGE778915 - 7/8" Glitter Pink Ribbon
RX9148X7 - 1.5" Yellow/White Stripe Ribbon
RGA16828K - 2.5" Bold Blooms Ribbon
XB240310-04 - 10" Blue/White Fabric Stripe Mesh
RY8501E2 - 10.5" Lavender/White Iridescent Foil Mesh
XX750437 - 24" Lime Pencil Wreath
Remember when choosing individual products you can always choose other colors, or styles of ribbon. Just stick to the same measurements. Another color of wreath would work just as well too.
The video is a replay of the Facebook/TikTok live we did yesterday.
Are you following us on TikTok? We're kind of new there so we sure would appreciate it you would follow))) Click here to follow.
Cut the mesh into 20" strips. You should have enough on each roll to cut 18 each. If your last strip comes out a little short, it will never show.
Place to ruffles (kruffles) in each twist. We alternated between a lavender on the bottom with blue on top and vice versa. Roll the edges in a bit before you scrunch up through the middle to make the ruffle. This will help decrease the amount of unraveling. All mesh unravels. Just clip any wild strings.
We made two large 14" identical bows. But you can add ribbon strips if you wish.
The sign was placed in the center and attached with chenille stems. Carrie and Ashleigh punched a hole in the sign at the top and bottom. Secure the sign to the wreath form without squashing down the mesh too much. We placed bows at the upper right and lower left.
Make a hanger for the wreath using chenille stems, floral wire, or a zip tie.
Stay tuned for more!

Here's a cute wreath that you can use or Easter, or really all spring! A deco mesh chocolate bunny wreath. Well, the bunny isn't really chocolate, he's made of metal)))
Right now we have the supplies you need to make this wreath in a Chocolate Bunny Kit. But you can order individual supplies too in case you want to change something here or there. Just stick with similar sizes.
We made this wreath yesterday as a Facebook live, but you can watch the replay right here. Just look over our trials!
Chocolate Bunny Kit (wreath form, sign, two rolls of mesh and four rolls of ribbon)
MD126876 Metal Chocolate Bunny Sign
XB240410-09 10" Lime Fuchsia Yellow Wide Weave Mesh
XB240710-09 10" Lime Breeze Mesh
RX9143WT 2.5" Pink White Multi Dot Ribbon
RGE720229 7/8" Yellow Diagonal Weave Ribbon
RGE174927 2.5" Butterfly Ribbon
42437-09-19 1.5" Orange White Race Check Ribbon
Carrie did 12" poufs around the wreath form with the green mesh. Next we placed a ruffle/curl (some people call the kruffles) of 20" open weave mesh. The cut edges were rolled in a little bit and then scrunched up through the middle to make sort of a ruffle with curled edges.
Carrie and Taalor cut the ribbon 13" in length and dove-tailed the 2.5" ribbon and just cut the 1.5" and 7/8" ribbon ends at an angle. We put a cluster of all four ribbons in each twist.
We like to undo the twist and place the ribbon cluster, but it's all a matter of preference.
We used the rest of the ribbon to make a sort of funky bow and placed it on the right upper side of the wreath. The chocolate bunny was placed lower left.
Options include leaving off the ribbon strips and just making 1-3 bows; placing the bunny in a different position; making two set of 20" ruffles in each twist....just to name a few)))
Don't fret if you are making ruffles and your last one comes out short.....it will never show.
Stay tuned for more! Don't forget to check out Jeannie's Blog too!

Many thanks to Michelle Pethley, Shelly's Wreaths & More, for sharing this beautiful Valentine creation with us.

Need a quick door hanger for Easter? Check out these cute bunny bottoms! Five different styles to choose from!
The bunnies are made of metal and measure about 29" in ht. and 15.2" in width. They have a sawtooth hanger on the back.
We picked out some ribbons to tie bows around the neck and they made such a pretty Spring or Easter decoration. A very quick and easy way to add a pop of Spring.
Let me say.....I know the audio is not synced perfectly with the video. I did the best I could and it is what it is)))) Somehow when you download a Facebook live, the audio gets off a little bit. Sometimes you can fix it and sometime not. But you will still be able to follow along)))
Bunny Bottom Sign and Ribbon Bundle
Some of the bunny kits have already sold out! But I'll list the individual products too.
MD1123 15" Pastel Polka Dot Bunny (29" sold out)
MD1060 29" Black White Striped Bunny
MD1059 29" Pink Green Floral Bunny
MD1124 15" Pink Green Floral Bunny
MD1057 29" Lavender Polka Dot Bunny
MD1056 29" Leopard Print Bunny
There are so many ribbons to choose from! Just pick out your favorite ribbon and use a combination of a 2.5" and a 1.5" for the 29" bunnies. I would probably just use a 1.5" ribbon for the 15" bunnies ...maybe two or three styles.

We made this wreath a few days ago as a Facebook and TikTok live. You can watch the replay right here. And if you haven't followed us on TikTok....just click the link!
XX748827 24" White Work Wreath
XB240710-01 10" Solid White Breeze Mesh
RY8339AT 10.25" Faux Jute Check
MD0859 12.25" Embossed Easter Snow Globe Sign
RGA8592M6 2.5" Mini Rose Lace Edge Ribbon
31402-09-02 1.5" Pink Lavender Yellow Blue Wide Stripes
31405-40-30 2.5" Pastel Kennedy Woven Plaid
RM997513 1.5" Lavender Tinsel
20" Ruffles - takes both rolls of mesh. If last ruffles falls a little short, it won't show.
Place two ruffles in each twist. We placed the solid white on the bottom and checked on top.
13" Ribbon Strips - we cut 18 of each style of ribbon to make a cluster of four ribbon strips. You can use less if you like, or even cut the strips longer. So many ways of adding, or even leaving ribbon off.
Bow - we made about 14" bow using the EZ bow maker. You can make a bow any way you like, you don't have to use a bow maker. We made one big bow, but if you prefer you can make a bit smaller bows and add 2-3 instead of just one. If you wish to have more bow, you might cut back on the ribbon strips. Another option is to make your bows first and place them. Any ribbon you have left over could be used for ribbon strips. You don't have to put the exact same combination in each twist. Mix it up!
Sign - add chenille stems to the back of the sign and secure to the wreath form being careful not to squish down your mesh too much. There is a sawtooth hanger at the top of the sign, but you'll need to add your chenille stem to the bottom of the sign. You can use a cable mount (add extra glue) and thread the chenille stem through that. If you have trouble getting your sign secure or squishing down the mesh too much, use those longer chenille stems, or put two together. It helps to hang your wreath to get your placement. This goes for placing your bow too. After this video was finished and I hung the wreath on my door, I had to raise the bow up some and move it more toward the front.
Hanger - make a hanger for the back of the wreath chenille stems, zip ties, or floral wire. Be sure to check the back and make sure you don't have anything sharp that would scratch your door.

No Valentine decoration in your house yet? There is still time! Watch the video to see how to make a simple lantern bow out of short ends of ribbon. It's a great way to use up those pieces that aren't long enough for another project.
All you need for a little more Valentine love is a couple of heart to drop off the side of the lantern. Mine were just some that were leftover from another year. I save everything))) Here's a couple of things that are in stock that would work. You could snip off some glittery hearts from the picks and sprays and use them too.

Isn't this a beautiful wreath! Many thanks to Laura Grisham Designs for letting us share her creative talents.
Laura has been a customer of Trendy Tree for a long time and we're are always delighted when we get a chance to creations.
Laura made this wreath using a 12" Unique in the Creek wreath board, and two colors of poly burlap. Green for the leaves and pink for the petals and she used decorative pine cones for the center.
Maybe I'm just partial to magnolias, living in Mississippi and all, but I can't try to try this wreath myself! My front door is dark brown so I'm thinking about making a white or cream magnolia wreath.
Damon Oates, Deco Exchange, has a tutorial for the magnolia wreath and you can watch it below. We all learn so much from Damon don't we!
Here are the few things you will need to make a magnolia wreath. Remember you can always choose other colors for your leave and petals. Just follow the same instructions for sizes of poly burlap, petals, and board size.
Other Supplies from Amazon
You will also need something for the center. You could use pinecones, ornaments, small flowers, etc.
Thanks again to Laura for sharing her beautiful wreath! Be sure to check out her business page, Laura Grisham Designs, and follow along. She sells her creations on Facebook by the way, so drop in and take a look.
You can also learn from Laura! Visit her YouTube channel and watch her make a snowflake wreath.
And in case you are new to wreath making, be sure to follow Deco Exchange on Facebook and YouTube.
Damon has an astounding number of tutorials for everything from wreaths, door swags, floral arrangements and more. You can find tutorials for all seasons, occasions, and every day decor. He is a great teacher as well has his talented designer group. Plus he can teach you the business side of wreath making or any kind of business you're into)))
And if you're interested in more tutorials using boards from Unique in the Creek, you can find them on YouTube, more than a thousand videos! Laurie has been busy creating her UTIC products and showing us how to use them.))
Stay safe and warm during this freezing weather!

Want to make a Valentine wreath for your front door? Here's an easy one to do and we've put the supplies together for you!
MD0860 - 12.25" Embossed "Be Mine" Snow Globe
XB240710-03 - 10" Pink Breeze Mesh
XB97910-45 - 10" Aqua Fabric Mesh
11414-40-01 - 2.5" Sheer White Glitter Hearts Ribbon
15401-40-01 - 2.5" Candy and Donuts Ribbon
47461-09-03 - 1.5" Pink/White Check Ribbon
RGE1188AN - 1.5" Mint/Gold Leo Ribbon
XX751150 - 24" Iridescent White Pencil Wreath
Cut mesh is 20" strips, cut the entire roll. Each roll should yield 18 pieces. There are 18 twists on a 24" wreath. If you mesh fall a little bit short of this, it won't show.
Make one big bow, and add ribbon strips with remainder of ribbon if desired.
Make a hanger for the wreath using a chenille stem, floral wire, or cable ties.
Trim any loose strings. All mesh unravels a bit. Roll the cut ends of the mesh inward a bit to help control the unraveling.
This selection of mesh, ribbons, and sign will easily work for Easter too, especially if you are just making a wreath for yourself.
Here are a few sign suggestions that would work well with the mesh and ribbon in this kit. Just leave out the ribbons with hearts and change out a sign.
AP8765 Carrot Patch
AP7847 Happy Easter
MD0859 Have a Hoppy Easter (Snowglobe Style)
Remember, anytime the exact products are sold out, you can always substitute other colors of mesh, ribbons, or signs. The ruffle technique is one of the easiest for beginners too.
Stay tuned for more new products coming in and tutorials coming up!
The tutorial was just to show the ruffle technique. Typically you choose your work form color to match your basic mesh color.
Use a work form that has twist ties already attached. It gets you off to a good start. We have many different styles of wreath forms and sizes.
Choose a wreath form that closely matches your primary mesh color. Burlap is a good choice for anything hard to match. You can always hide your twists by turning them to the inside or even snipping them off. And you can go to the trouble of adding a bit of hot glue and holding the mesh together to cover up tips. But most of the time, you would never find this necessary.
Pencil wreath ties are smaller than Work form ties. Work form ties are about the size of an artificial Christmas tree limb. 24" Round forms measure 15" across the widest metal ring. With the addition of mesh, ribbons, signs, florals, etc, you wind up with a wreath that measures 24" in width or greater.
Mesh comes in 10", 10.25" 10.5" and 21" widths. You can use any of the 10" sizes for a ruffle wreath. The 21" mesh is better used as a pouf technique.
Ruffles are up to you! You can put one 30" ruffle in a twist, or two 20" ruffles in a twist. That's my preferred method, but that's just me. I like not having short ends of mesh left over and two 20" ruffles works perfectly to use up all the mesh on two rolls.
Now, you could come up short when you are cutting ruffles, but trust me, it will never be noticeable. If you feel like it is, just place that skimpy ruffle where you intend to place a bow or sign.
Once your basic ruffle wreath is completed, you can choose to add ribbon strips, bows, florals, ornaments or a sign. Embellish as much or as little as you like. Sometimes we tend to cover up that beautiful mesh when all it needs is a big bow!
Thanks for dropping in and don't forget to shop Trendy Tree for all your wreath making supplies. We have you covered!

You can make a winter lantern topper with just a few supplies. Such an easy way to make a quick spot of decoration for your home.
Watch the video and be sure to subscribe for more tutorials from Trendy Tree!
The lantern used in this tutorial is several years old, but just a standard, neutral lantern.
I chose it because it's made of wood, metal and glass and has a natural brown color.
When choosing a lantern, if you plan to decorate it, choose something with a simple design so that the topper or inside contents will be the focal point.
You can re-decorate a lantern for the seasons like this winter lantern or for a special occasion. Here's my affiliate link for a similar lantern from Amazon.
The Faux Snow was a carryover from Christmas, but it's been several times before. It has provided a bed for Easter Eggs, green apples, carrots, and even tiny pumpkins in the fall.
The Faux Snow is made of a plastic material and comes in a bag. You could also use paper shred, Spanish Moss or green moss.
The Faux Snow provided a bed for the 12" battery candle in the winter lantern. Practice safety! Always use battery candles in your lanterns and never a real candle unless you plan never to light it.
The red birds I used are now sold out, but there are several styles of cardinals in our Old World Christmas ornament collection,
Two cardinals were placed on the bed of Faux Snow. But you could use other types of birds as well or small animal ornaments as well.
The exact ribbons I used are no longer available, but here's a couple that are similar that you could choose from:
72107-09-12 1.5" Cheetah Cardinal Ribbon
71090-40-01 2.5" Woody Icon Cardinal Ribbon
71174-09-01 1.5" White Red Berry Ribbon
RGA1013WJ 2.5" Red Black Gingham Check
Just browse ribbons to find your favorites, there are so many to choose from)
Make a simple bow for the winter lantern using assorted styles of ribbon. I made my bow with a simple bowmaker. The link is to a new version of the EZ Bowmaker and works the same way.
You can make a free-handed bow without a bow-making tool. I just find that it's easier for me. We also have the Probow bow-maker on Trendy Tree and you can make many different styles of bows with it as well.
We have hundreds and hundreds of ribbon styles to choose from. Just browse the Ribbon Collection and find some that you like. You can also make a lantern topper using your scrap ribbon too....so dig thru those supplies!
Secure the bow with a zip tie. The bow with grapevine was tied around the top of the lantern.
Decorating a winter lantern is easy, it doesn't take many supplies and it's simple to change out for another season or occasion.
When spring is just around the corner, we'll remove the winter bow and add something with spring blooms.

A wooden bowl filled with dried pods and cones can be a beautiful and natural boho-style decorative element. The use of organic materials and earthy textures aligns with the bohemian aesthetic, which embraces a connection to nature.
We have two versions of these natural dried pods and cones. Here's the other one:
These natural fillers look great in a wooden bowl, basket, wood tray, or even glass vases and jars. So easy to add a little spot of boho to corner or tabletop.
Putka pods, also known as pumpkin pods or miniature pumpkins, are small, decorative fruit pods that resemble tiny pumpkins. They come in various shades of orange and green, and sometimes white. The ones we have in stock are orange and green.
Sometimes these little pods are used for crafting. I'm wondering how they would look as a center for a sunflower wreath. What do you think? They would be pretty scattered around a candle too.
Have you ever decorated a fall tree? Take a look at this dried orange slice garland. I can see this used on a fall tree that can stay up right through Christmas. Add some cinnamon bundles tied in ribbon, pretty plaid or patterned fall ribbon....I NEED to do a fall tree!
If you would like to see more of the boho style products and learn more about boho decor in general, check out this blog post over on my personal blog. Just click the image. Boho Decor
