Blue and Copper Peacock Christmas Tree

A 6 1/2" Chocolate Brown Tree

In the box, this Chocolate Brown Christmas tree may not look like much.....but wait until you see what Kristina Gardea does with it!

Gorgeous blue and copper Christmas tree loaded with different styles of wire edge ribbon, Deco mesh ribbon, large ball ornaments, feathers, peacocks and gold. Simply stunning! Kristina designs and creates these beautiful decorations in Southaven, Mississippi. Here are more photos of this spectacular creation.

Assemble the tree and fluff the branches.

Mid Section of Tree

This tree was designed by Kristina to be easily disassembled and put back together. Her client will be moving the tree from one place to another so the decorations are not secured to the tree, they are secured on 36" swags. Then, the swags are secured to the tree using the tines of the tree and the tines of the swags to connect. Great idea! I think this idea would work for ease of decorating, taking apart and storing for the next year too.....if you want to use the same tree for a couple of years)))

The topper was fashioned in the same manner using three separate pieces triangular form and secured together. Feathers would not be a portion of the pre assembled decoration since they are so delicate, they would just need to be inserted as a final touch.

The tree is 6 1/2" in height and contains 6 of the 36" decorated swags and the topper. A combination of assorted size and color balls were used in a matt and shiny finish which gives a good contrast. Lots and lots of wire edge ribbon in assorted contrasting styles and colors was used. The peacock blue just pops right out at you with the copper, gold and brown in the background.

Other hints from Kristina for decorating a tree like this to wrap your ornament around the tinsel limbs so they don't dangle, use tall picks without pushing them down into the tree, secure using the tinsel twists, choose items to add dimension and contrast....assorted sprays, different textures of ribbon and assorted ornaments. The addition of the feather peacocks on this tree really pull the colors together.
