Whimsical white bird with orange beak, collectible glass Christmas ornament. Measures approximately 3 1/4". Made of mouth blown glass and hand painted.

The Pelican is a symbol of Jesus per an ancient legend. During a famine, the Pelican cared so dearly for her young that she chose to give them her own blood to prevent starvation, but in turn lost her own life. The Pelican is a symbol of self-sacrifice and is used in heraldry.
