What's Your Halloween Style - Whimsy? Vintage? Ghoulish?

What''s your Halloween decorating style? Whimsical is always popular especially with small children. Vintage or primitive items blend well with handmade decor. And ghoulish? Well, we don't have a lot of ghoulish products, but a couple of scary Jack O'lanterns for sure. My personal favorite is whimsical. My decorations are generally put up because of the grandchildren. Cute, but not too scary. The decorations, not the kids! lol These big chenille striped ball picks are great for Halloween. They will add a bright pop of color to wreaths or centerpieces. The orange and black will be coming, just haven't arrived yet. Happy Jack O'Lanterns with goofy grins are perfect for whimsical decoratinh. These are made of metal and battery operated. Safe, no candles! Still, as with any decoration, they should be out of the reach of children. Vintage style or primitive Halloween decorations are usually made of fabric or paper. You will see lots of hand painted faces, either scary or whimsical. This may be my choice of style this year. The youngest grandson is 11 now....so maybe it's time for me to step up my decorating game. The black cat and pumpkin man that Carrie is holding are new for this year and in stock now. The pumpkin man and black cat are shelf sitters. Be careful when you try to say that. Shelf sitter means they have a weighted bottom which allows them to sit upright on a table or ledge with legs dangling. You will find in the vintage or primitive decorations that the fabrics may be faded, ragged or even grungy looking. This RAZ Owl couple has a sort of Bethany Lowe look. Clothing has a good bit of detail and look at those eyes! Love these RAZ paper cone cat and pumpkin pieces. They are made of cardboard and about 11" in ht. These white lighted Jack O'Lanterns from RAZ are a bit scary! But not too bad)) They should be arriving any day now. The RAZ Spellbook have always been a popular item here at Trendy Tree.
