More Autumn and Halloween Decorations

Browsing on Pinterest for a few moments led me to these great simple and easy decorations from Better Homes and Gardens. I love these little pumpkins nestled among orange crinkle paper. To make it even simpler, you could use a bed of raffia or wood wool which is easy to find. Looks like the pumpkins were cut from the bottom. Battery powered votives or tea-lights would make the display safe. Adding a sheet of tissue paper to the inside of the pumpkin diffuses the light and hides your tea light better. These BOO candles were made made wrapping colored tissue paper around glass pillars. The lettering here was done by adhesive letters, but you could find a scary Halloween font and print your own letter. Nice thing about this candle display is that when Halloween is over, you just remove the paper and get ready for Christmas candles! These candles were made similar to the BOO candles, but be sure to visit Better Homes and Gardens for the free template on the lettering of this one! Love free templates! Parchment paper would work on this project too. There are many more frugal decorations on the BHG site.....these are just some quick ones that got my attention. I love making things that can be re-used for another season.
