Evergreen Gnome

I'll be gnome for Christmas! How cute is this evergreen gnome! Downtown Pontotoc has just been bursting with pretty Christmas decorations as shops were getting ready for open house this past Sunday. Carrie and I were shopping at True Blue Saturday night and I just couldn't resist taking some pics of these cute gnomes created by the Delta Daisy shop. On Sunday, we were able to visit Susan, of the Delta Daisy, who made these adorable evergreen gnomes. Delta Daisy is a shop on Main Street, Pontotoc, MS .

Instructions

tomato cage, gnome hat, everygreen gnome Tomato Cage Turned Upside Down
Susan started with a metal tomato cage (or frame) for the evergreen gnome which resulted in the nice cone shape. She cut long pieces of evergreen branches. The branches were secured to the tomato cage by wrapping them with wire. The hat was fashioned out of a stretchy material and sewn in a cone shape. She found the pom pom ball at JoAnn's Fabric Store. You could use something else for the pom pom ball, for example you could make one out of yarn. The nose is a potato! She used a piece of a wire coat hanger to secure the nose to the frame. And there you have it! Christmas gnomes!
