Matt, our 7 year old grandson, is out of school officially and today he's spending the day with us. This child loves to ramble in boxes, closets......you know the drill.
He found an old copy of the the movie E.T. I wasn't sure if it would even still play or not, but we loaded into a laptop and started to watch. The movie reminded me that my mother who was an avid crocheter in her day, had made Carrie, our daughter an E.T probably 35 years ago!
So, nothing would have Matt but me to stop what I was doing (doing website work.....you know....that important stuff...lol) and look for E.T.
We found him, along with a rabbit, mouse, kangaroo with a baby in a pouch no less, and other assorted creatures that my mother loved making for our daughter who was probably 2-3 at the time.
So, with E.T. nestled in his lap, he set back to watching the movie. I think my mother would have been tickled pink to know that her great grandson was all hugged up with something that she made with her hands. Probably the only thing that he has touched, that she had touched. So glad I saved it)))
