2017 Turkey Butt Centerpiece - Facebook Live

This is a re-cap of a Facebook Live that Rachel and I did last week. The products we used for this creation are available in a kit and we'll show your the supplies in a little more detail, but just watch the video for the assembly. Supplies: XX759940 Chocolate Pencil Rail - 1 3716119 RAZ Turkey Butt - 1 RE134104 10" Brown Copper Wide Foil Mesh - 1 RG1279NE 2.5" Coral Ribbon - 1 RG1212A2 2.5" Turquoise Ribbon - 1 ZXP-TT01 1.5" Brown Faux Burlap Ribbon - 1 3703445 4.5" RAZ Gold Glittered Vine Ball - 3 10/29/17 Update: Kit with supplies has sold out, but some of the individual supplies may still be available. Pencil Rail: Pencil rails come in all sorts of colors and measure about 22" x 4" They are made of metal and have pencil ties to attach products. We used a chocolate rail for this project but you could choose burlap, gold, copper, etc. RAZ Turkey Butt: The RAZ turkey butt is new for this year. They have two versions this season, the one from last year and this new on. Both are cute! They are made of stuffed Polyester and the legs are wired for shaping. This one has a cute little back pocket and it's made in pretty fall colors. It has a large covered wire that you can use for attaching to wreath form or the rail as we're doing in this centerpiece. Here's another way to use the turkey butt. This image is from RAZ and they just placed the turkey butt down into a straw bale. Easy decoration to do! Wide Foil Mesh: We used a 10" x 10 yd brown with copper wide foil mesh to just sort of form a base for the centerpiece. The pieces were cut 15" in length and the "ruffle" technique was used. We placed a two ruffles in each twist around the pencil rail. Wide foil mesh gives better coverage than just metallic mesh because the strips of foil are wider. Wide foil mesh comes in many different colors on the website and you could make this project using other colors too. Glitter Twig Balls: The glitter twig balls we used were also from RAZ. They measure about 4.5" in width and are made of rattan twig, sprinkled with glitter. As with any glittered product, kinda of messy. We used three balls for the centerpiece. The twig balls from RAZ are new for this year and from their Copper Mountain collection. Ribbons: Rachel chose three ribbons for this project. The first was a 2.5" dark coral which really picked up the orange in the turkey butt's pants. Next was a 2.5" turquoise ribbon. We've seen so much orange and turquoise for this fall! The colors really compliment each other and have become one of my favorite combinations)) The last ribbon was a 1.5" faux brown burlap, just to add in a different size ribbon and a little bit of natural color. This has been a great ribbon this season and we've used it several times in other projects. It has a great texture to it and of course it's wired. Most all of our ribbon on Trendy Tree is wired. Here are a few more images from the project and you can see some of the elements for a closer look. This project would be a good one to covert to another season after Thanksgiving. You could just remove the turkey butt and ribbons, add in some bronze or gold ornaments, different ribbon and turn it into a Christmas centerpiece.

Happy Fall Y'all!
