halloween-tulle-ribbon-wreath-side-view-trendytree This is a very easy wreath to make for Halloween, it does just take some time))) It's made out of 3 colors of 6" Tulle and 3 colors of 1.5" Flex Ribbon. The supplies come in a kit along with a wreath frame and bow ribbon. halloween-tulle-ribbon-wreath-supplies-trendytree Purchase Kit here: Halloween Tulle & Ribbon Wreath Kit - WREATH KIT IS NOW SOLD OUT First step is to cut the Tulle into 12" lengths and cut the Flex Ribbon into 12" length. The Tulle is easily cut by wrapping around a 12" length of cardboard (two pieces taped together, with openings left at top and bottom, wind the tulle around the cardboard and slip your scissors through the two pieces of cardboard to cut the Tulle). The Flex Ribbon is very stretchy and should be laid on the table and 12" pieces cut with the ribbon lying flat. The Tulle is 6" x 25 yards and the Flex Ribbon is about 1.5" in width and has 30 yards on the roll. When you start tying on your strips of Tulle and Flex Ribbon it is very important to use more of the Flex Ribbon than the Tulle or you will run out of the Tulle. You might want to set aside about 18 pieces of each color of the Tulle to use for the last center ring. We used a 12" box wire wreath form. We started on the outside ring and tied the strips of Tulle and Flex Ribbon on using a slip knot. Just fold the 12" piece in half, grasp it at the folded center and place under the metal ring of the wreath. Slip your fingers through the loop of the folded Tulle or ribbon and pull the cut ends through making a knot. Tug on the Tulle to make a snug knot. On the Flex Ribbon, it is important to tug on the ribbon close to the knot and not by the ends of the ribbon, or the ribbon will stretch. Just keep tying on strips of Tulle and Ribbon in alternating colors. You can go to the trouble of coming up with a pattern, but I don't think it would come out much different than just random strips. Do remember to use more of the Flex Ribbon along than the Tulle so you don't run out of Tulle. We used all the Tulle on our wreath and had a few yards left over of the Flex Ribbon. You can go all the way around your wreath, then move up to the next ring, and then up to the center ring. This is a project you may want to do in the living room while watching a movie....or maybe two movies! It does take a while, but it's fun to make and the end result is a very cute Halloween wreath. The finished measures approximately 22" to 24" in width. We made a simple 5-loop hand tied bow and secure it to the wreath frame using a chenille stem or floral wire. The bow was made using the ProBow and we also did a short video to show you how to do that if you need help with your bows. Sometimes just the simplest of bows can be very difficult! We understand....it's hard to keep loops even, but using the ProBow really helps with that. 5-loop-bow-trendytree Hope you enjoyed this easy Halloween wreath tutorial and stay tuned for more! subscribe-trendy-tree-channel Save Save
