2013 January Atlanta Market Visit

Now I know I shouldn't be blogging.....because there are still so many new items to be posted to the website. But, I just couldn't wait to share some of the products Carrie and I picked out for Trendy Tree this coming season. We've added literally HUNDREDS of new products.....new lines....new suppliers.....will have a Collegiate category.....huge expansion of our wire edge ribbon.....huge, I mean really huge.....so huge I was almost afraid to come home! But anyway, here are just a few highlights and I'll add more as I can squeeze in the time. Colors for Christmas Decorating - we saw a lot of red, black, silver and white combinations. Lots of natural and nature style items with owls, squirrels, rabbits - anything with legs. Lots of burlap, birch and barks. Girly style ornaments with animal print on everything! Faux fur garlands, little bits of fur and feathers on products.....cabin or lodge style with burlap, sweater knits, skis and sleds Greens seemed to be more of the classic green to emerald green and less of the apple and lime greens, but they were still there. Red and green combinations as always and multicolors with pink, blue, red green, etc. Here are some of the RAZ trees, not the best pictures, but will give you an idea of the RAZ collections. Didn't find out what the names of the collections will be. This tree has lots of burlap ribbon, deer, red berries, silver and black balls. Seemed like silver was everywhere. But notice the Burlap Top Hats! They were very cute about the 9" height and had a little band with a bit of decoration on them. We ordered them of course......we took top hats in every style they offered))) Here's the Burlap Top Hat and it comes in about 4" ornament size too. Old fashioned bells in silver, red and green tinsel reminded me of my grandmother's decorations....warm fuzzy feelings)) Again with the red, silver, black and white. New design on the elves - some wearing sweaters, boots and even skis. This is the girlie tree.....animal print, fur, the cutest ornaments in purses, all sorts of shoes, mirrors, compacts, coat hangers.....check out the legs with the fishnet stockings! Yep, we got the ladies legs coming in))) Speaking of legs.....we have several different styles of Witch legs from RAZ and other suppliers along with several styles of Elf legs and some Santa legs......we were on a mission to find legs! This is a shot of the sweets tree. The Gumdrop Picks and Ornaments were new, made of a transparent plastic which I think will really look nice in front of Christmas lights. They look like iced gumdrops with cherries on top. Another shot of the sweets tree.....check out the spray that looks like cake balls covered in sprinkles. One of the new styles of Elves with his sweater.....lots of elves everywhere... Not a RAZ tree, but still ....black, white and silver.......some of these products are from Craig Bachman and we have the black/white diamond pattern ornaments coming. Hard to tell if there is a tree in there! One of the RAZ Elves with skates. They came in an assortment of three......all adorable. New Top Hats ...very shiny and sparkly in silver, black and red. And sprays with little top hats on them. Faux Leather Top Hat Red Plaid Top Hat Snowman Tree Topper. There was also another style of Snowman Toppers....one with a red velvet hat with polka dots and one black velvet. Lots of funky snowmen with big heads..little bodies...very whimsical. Notice the thick white branches sticking out the top. These were gorgeous, so white and fluffy. And there is a new round pine spray with a snowy or icy look. We stocked both of these. This is another one of the new elf styles....the faces are sweeter and not quite as mischievous looking as some of the elves. The Woodland Elves were continued for this year which is great....they really were popular last year. Letters to Santa ribbon was really popular, buyers were flocking around it. This is about a 6" canvas like ribbon, no wire and layers on top of a burlap roll. Really pretty. We have it coming and another style which as the sweetest story behind it....I'll have to save that story for a complete blog post! This isn't RAZ, but another style of Elf that is coming. Ornaments in the animal print....we have several styles coming. Check out the antlers! This is a long pick.....we also have a smaller bunch tied in bundle as an ornament. Haven't figured out yet how we're going to pack these things)) These Cupcake Trains were cute and came in sets of three. Lots of dark colored gingerbread. Still lots more pics to post.....but I'll save for later......we really got carried away with Halloween product and I'll do that on a post by itself and show you the many new styles of the witch legs. Also ordered several of the painted burlap pieces, lots of signs and plaques that will be great for wreaths.....will post more later)))
