Belle from Beauty and the Beast

Belle from Beauty and the Beast: I believe this is Maggie’s favorite. I’m not sure why, but its had the most wear at this point. However, Sleeping Beauty is running a close second, at least by the little boy next door! He and Maggie were playing the other day….she comes out in the Belle dress….and he is proudly wearing the Sleeping Beauty Dress…….The Belle dress was made with inexpensive costume satin from Wal Mart. Again used the stretchy material for the bodice and altered the skirt to resemble the gathers in Belle’s dress. Hair tie was made from scraps. Gauntlets (arm sleeves) were adapted from one of the patterns and made easier that the pattern instruction by just putting elastic around them.

Full skirt was a big hit!
